Designer’s 2025 Year in Review

Looking back on 2025, it was a year of impactful reading—essays by Im Kyung-sun, poetry by Do Jong-hwan, and books by novelist Kim Ae-ran, whose work I’m still captivated by. In a world lacking dopamine, I found myself seeking out new writings, and Millie’s Library was a great help. My personal goal for the new year is to continue “1 day, 1 Millie.” I tried hard to read at least two or three sentences a day, but… (I failed more often than not—) I’m going to make that commitment again this year. As for movies and music, I don’t seem to be seeking out new things anymore. I started 2025 by binge-watching the Harry Potter series, and my last movie of the year was Begin Again. I’ve come to realize that classics from 10 or 20 years ago are easier on my eyes and ears than unproven new releases. I feel like I’m gradually moving away from taking chances;

This year, we ultimately launched 4 apps. (Including the services we shelved along the way, it’s about 6…) I think we were able to achieve these results thanks to the new tool called artificial intelligence. Our goal for next year is to develop and improve our services further. Personally, I’d like to polish up the designs a bit more…heh. Our services still generate what you might call “cute” levels of revenue, but in the beginning, I honestly didn’t have much faith that we could even generate that much… But as we kept at it, we started seeing small but steady monthly income heh. What’s different from when we launched our service 10 years ago is that, thanks to AI, we now have time to think about marketing, and we’ve grown up a bit—we can now afford to have meetings over nice coffee and sandwiches every week… Next year, we have grand plans to apply for government support programs. Of course, the competition will be fierce, but I think it will be a great opportunity to reorganize our team’s goals, position, and direction… Thank you to everyone who loves our services. Happy New Year!
