How an Indie Dev Team Uses AI: Development, Design, and Marketing
Hi team!
Everyone’s using AI these days.
About two years ago, colleagues at work were saying ‘there’s this amazing thing called GPT’ and asking it all sorts of questions. Now it’s so useful that it doesn’t need explanation.
Naturally, Praxo Studio uses AI too.
In Development,
About 70-80% of our code was either written by Cursor or at least touched by it.
It’s particularly useful in situations like:
- Initial project setup
- Clear feature implementation (“When you scroll down the screen, execute the refresh function. Include a loading spinner too”)
- Code refactoring (“This file has features A and B mixed together, separate them into two files.”)
However, design implementation has more errors than expected, so after trying it a few times, I handle it myself now.
In Design,
I asked my designer friend how they use AI.
When they commanded “draw me a todo app”, the result wasn’t satisfactory so they couldn’t use it. However, it was useful for getting feedback on screen designs.

It provides surprisingly detailed responses.
Marketing and More,
Our team consists of a designer and a developer, so marketing is a bit weak.
That’s why we rely heavily on AI in this area.
- How much to price ad removal
- ASO (App Search Optimization) keyword recommendations
Also, information that used to require extensive internet searching can now be found all at once.
- Contracts needed before uploading to the App Store
- Types of images required for Google Play Store registration
We’re currently working hard on our next item.
Development should be complete by July, and we’ll introduce it then.
See you next month! Bye, Team!
